Welcome to your gateway to the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics (MBG) at İzmir Institute of Technology (IzTech), one of the leading places of education and research in various fields of life sciences at the molecular level. MBG offers undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degree programs. Research opportunities exist in a variety of areas including molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, plant biochemistry and genetics, cancer biology, redox biology, immunology, bioinformatics, biotechnology, and structural biology. The diverse areas of research are not conducted independently; there is a great synergy between closely and distantly related areas in order to open new research and study opportunities. MBG faculty and supporting faculty from other departments contribute to graduate and undergraduate education in order to provide students with an education that meets the needs of the future.
