Tülin TAŞCIOĞLU who had her defense seminar in 09.12.2022 completed her PhD. program. In the PhD. thesis conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Anne FRARY, the genetic distances within/between species and population structure were determined via molecular genetic analyses in Origanum (Lamiaceae) (kekik – oregano) which is one of the most important medicinal and aromatic plant species and naturally grows in Türkiye. The most probable potential hybridizations of oregano species that are being conserved at Inonu University Herbarium and Aegean Agriculture and Research Institute Gene Bank were evaluated according to the collection locations, regions, already reported hybrid species in nature and their pollination biology.
